NEWEST SONG ''PIECE OF ME'' POSTED!
Hi!

I've finally completed and posted my lastest song, "Piece of Me". This song is about my first major relationship...what a train wreck that was! I hope you like it. My ex hated it when I wrote it...oh well, sometimes people have empathy loss I guess.

While you can stream all my songs for free online, please remember that buying them is a great way to help me turn out more songs for you faster. As it is now, I'm reaching deep into my pockets, and this stuff ain't cheap! You can purchase my songs from SoopRock.com or from my Broadjam and Myspace sites. They are listed below.

DONE TRACKING LATEST SONG ''PIECE OF ME''
Howdy!

I'm done tracking my latest song "Piece of Me", and Scottie is mixing it! It started off a little like the "Hurricane" from the Scorpions, and has evolved off the tracks. That song was a major influence for this one. I wrote it close to 6 years ago. I hope you like it!

I will keep you all notified when it is finally released.

NEWEST SONG ''MY INFATUATION'' COMPLETED!
Hey guys!

I just got back from Scottie's house tonight, and we have completely finished off my latest song "My Infatuation". This one is totally different from anything I have ever written. It's completely spectactular. I will be posting it online in the next couple days, and I hope you all enjoy it!

SOOP ROCK FLETCHERS SHOW WENT AWESOME!
Hey guys! I just got done playing Fletchers with 5 other great bands. It was excellent. Thanks to everyone that bought CDs, and I'm gonna try real hard to remember all your names!

The songs I played and their associated albums went in this order:

1. My Hill (My Hill upcoming album)
2. Come Out Ahead (Stereo Plastics)
3. I Believe in a Thing Called Love (a Darkness cover)
4. Because She Runs (Stereo Plastics version)
5. She Talks to Angels (a Black Crowes cover)
6. Don't Frown, Cool Down (Stereo Plastics)

The band lineup was...

1. Soop Rock

Need I say anything here?

2. The Rockvilles

Yes, they really rock! Really. I didn't get a chance to speak with you guys...sorry about that. Are you all from Rockville by chance? Just curious. Good show!

3. The Getaways

Totally unique, and the singer has an eerie Jim Morrison Vibe. I rather enjoyed this one.

4. Hyphen

I got to see your first song, and then I had to rush to go pay the meter. By the time I got back, my friends had some chow for me. I was scarfing it down, but missed the rest. From what I heard you guys are amazing. Please get in touch with me if you're back down this way again, so I can get a better chance to hear you live.

5. Stranger Inside

WOW. Truly Awesome. Strangely enough too...the lead singer looks a little like Sebastian Bach to me. These guys put on a really great show, and although I don't play or listen their genre of music that often, I enjoyed them ALOT. Good set.

6. Infinitum

Winners in more sense than just the contest, and I hope to see you again! Maybe I can steal some fans away temporarily so we can have more than 2 people cheering for Soop Rock next time? LOL. (Hey! My people all left. Ironically, the 2 people that cheered for me, didn't even get the chance to hear me as they came too late.)

Everyone put on a great show, and I got the chance to meet some really cool ass people. Thanks to all my friends that came out (and then subsequently left). I wish you guys could have stayed, but I know it's Labor Day weekend, and it was really hot in that joint.

To everyone else, I hope you enjoyed, and I really appreciate all the feedback and support! Do not give up on your dreams; I'll see you again.

Take care all, and enjoy the rest of your extended Labor Day weekend!

SOOP ROCK ADVANCES TO SECOND ROUND IN AMERICAN IDOL NJ TRYOUTS
Hey guys! Well, it was my last year for trying out for American Idol. I'm going to be past the age limit next year. I made it to the second round singing the middle to the end of "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness. The guy who listened to us put me through to the next round, and said to sing that song exactly like I sang it again for the next round because "it works". That means out of around 10-20 thousand people, I was picked among 100-200. Something like that I think. I could be way off...purely guestimating here folks.

Well I did just that, and even sang it better the second time around! Unfortunately, I was cut in the second round. Too bad...they will NEVER have another singer on that show who can sing that song like I can next to the lead singer of The Darkness himself. It would have made for great TV.

Cheers to the nimrods that turned me down. Thanks for the opportunity, but poor decision. You just bumped the only person who could have sung a truly outrageous song like that on your television show. Would have been great ratings for that week and the ones to follow.

Thanks though to the music guy that put me through. He could recognize something those clowns couldn't. And he was exceptionally nice at turning the other people down without sounding like he was full of himself. I don't know who you were dude, but you rock in my book. ...And I definitely know what rocks.

''MY INFATUATION'' NEARING COMPLETION!
Great news! "My Infatuation" has been completely tracked, and Scottie is already getting to work on putting the final mix together! I even think we have enough material for possibly 1 or 2 remixes in addition since I'm not sure all of the tracks will be used in the final mix.

I cannot wait for this song to be finished! I think it's truly one of the best songs I've ever written, and certainly the happiest. Please check back within the next couple weeks for it to be posted.

BRAND NEW SOOP ROCK SONG ''MY HILL'' IS COMPLETE
Great news guys! I have a brand new song called "My Hill" posted online, and you can play it for free here. Click to play.

I have not put out anything in a while since my last unreleased, 2008 album, "Stereo Plastics". This song is a real treat. I recorded it with my long-time producer-friend, Scott Reiber of Skylab Productions in Perryville, MD.

Check it out! It totally rocks!
