Q: What the heck is Soop Rock?
A: The name of the artist and his music.
John Michael Suprock has worked with producers Scott Reiber from Skylab Productions and Rennie Grant from Grant Audio Design to produce distinct-sounding and diverse hard/soft rock songs and folk songs since 1999.
John took vocal lessons at Musicians Institute of Baltimore (MIB) in 2002-2003 from Steve Whiteman of Kix (Don't Close Your Eyes, Blow My Fuse, etc) in order to sing songs he wrote and recorded. This was done on a year break in middle of recording his first major album, "Stereo Plastics" and he emerged a seasoned singer in 2003.
Soop Rock is the result of songs written by John since he received a guitar at age 11 in 1993 from his father. Recent works with long-time producer-friend Scott Reiber include "My Hill" for a new album with the same name, "My Infatuation", and "Piece of Me". Stay tuned... More are coming!
