Bio

After receiving a Fender guitar at the age of 11 from his father, John Suprock quickly learned how to play CCR's "Who'll Stop the Rain" the very same day. He immediately began composing & writing songs.

For 4 years John took guitar lessons from Gray Gold at Music Land in his hometown of Bel Air, MD. Gray was training him to be a lead guitarist, unknowingly improving his songwriting ability through lessons based in blues & classical music.

In 1999 John began recording after meeting long time friend & fellow musician Scott Reiber. He went on to record at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore with Rennie Grant & after years of fruitful recording, came to a standstill with his voice.

In 2002 John was referred to Steve Whiteman, lead singer of Kix (Don't Close Your Eyes, Blow My Fuse, etc), for voice lessons at the Musician's Institute of Baltimore. After a year of disciplined tutelage he emerged as a seasoned singer, shocking people with his voice at local Karaoke Bars such as the Bayou Cafe in White Marsh & Torinos in Bel Air.

Meanwhile, Rennie Grant moved to a new studio, Mission Media. In summer 2003 John returned to Mission Media to finish recording & coproducing his first major album, "Stereo Plastics" with Rennie.

Soop Rock is the result of songs written by John since he started playing guitar. The "Stereo Plastics" album officially contains the songs "Wait", "Come Out Ahead", "Acrylic", "Because She Runs", "Remember", "Fly or Fall", "Don't Frown (Cool Down)", and an instrumental version of "Hearticide".

Recent works with long-time producer-friend Scott Reiber include "My Hill" for an upcoming album of the same name. Other works completed for that album include "My Infatuation" and many others coming next!
